In Mexia, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Texas, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.

Mexia is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Mexia follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Joe and his crew just finished a four tree project and it turned out better than I could have ever wished for. We met Joe at his farm and his selection of trees and knowledge of trees is outstanding. He took time to drive us around explaining different trees and what would work best for us. When it came time to plant them, Joe was on site and helped us finalize the best location for them which really helped. If you need any trees, don't hesitate to call them. You won't be disappointed!

I bought a big Cedar Elm from them, had it delivered, and installed in the spring. It only took about 1-2 hours to complete the installation. The tree looks great in the front yard. I've had no issues with it and it's been so rainy I have not needed to water much. Would recommend, very professional. 👍 Edit: If you plan to visit, make sure to map out directions before you go. The GPS can be spotty out there.

Joe and his entire team is amazing to work with! Beautiful location, a ton of amazing healthy trees, top quality delivery and planting. I wish I had a bigger lot to get more trees from them! Best pricing and just so great to work with! Picture below was taken about a week ago and she and her sister and growing like crazy!!

Very happy with purchase and customer service. Our trees arrived safely from 90 minutes away! We even got another tree we own diagnosed with canker. Highly recommend!

These guys were amazing! We live in Cedar Park, and could not find anybody who would remove the large Arizona Ash stump, and everybody in Austin wanted to just drop a tree, somewhere else in the yard, and we needed a new tree, back in place, where the ash was, given it is the best location, to provide optimum shade to the front of our home. We drove out to their tree farm, picked out a tree, on Saturday, and the new Sherman Oak tree was in the ground, that next monday, by lunch, and that included the removing of the large stump. They informed us of things that we were unaware of, such as air pockets, and also manner in which mulch should be laid out, which they had already done, and staked tree, to keep as stationary as possible. We couldn't be happier, and feel that their prices were very reasonable, especially for the incredible/timely service which we were provided. This was worth the drive, and again, just not available in the Austin area, r/Jeff & Mary Jo
